There is update for a snippet preview. It has always been my goal to make content SEO as easy as can be, and to make people writing content perform the necessary actions instead of someone else fixing up after them. Good SEO for a site consists of set of technical requirements, a good site structure and then the most important thing: well optimized content. Preferably lots of it. Today, by releasing the Linkdex Page Analysis integration into my WordPress SEO plugin, we’ve come one step closer to that goal of making Content SEO easy…

I’ve got a nice web site (I think it’s nice) and want to get on google page one. I already have some keywords in mind. But there are many others above me. For my main keyword I am on page 5 on the google results. I heard that you can hire a link building service and the use some magic and beam your listing to the top. Is this true?

Hi. I have had the same problem like you and I did a lot of research to find a solution. Then finally I found this web site: http://jeschke.com/link-building-service.html that helped me to improve my ranking in Google markedly. They did an excellent job. I am now on page one of Google for my main keywords. One is actually number 3!!!

They told me how this goes: You just need to have more backlinks then your competitors and you can outrank them. It is pretty amazing. This website provides a great solution for your problem.

I have some confusion about one way link building and two way link building. Which one is good part from them one way link building or two way link building? So anybody tell me that what is one way link building and two way link building?

When SEOs caught on that a significant part of a site’s ranking came from the number of backlinks from other sites, which google uses as a gauge of a site’s popularity amount it’s piers.
This motivated SEOs to generate links, for a time the most popular approach was link exchanges, I will link to you if you link to me, there are management utilities that help manage these reciprocal links. Unfortunately the search engine robots have gotten good at identifying these link arrangements, no longer giving credit for gaming the system this way. There are more convoluted schemes, 3 way links, link wheels, etc. that the search engines are also learning to detect.
One way links would go from site A to site B, with the absence of a link from B to A.

Is it true that social media marketing has little effect in SEO? I’ve read somewhere that sites like Facebook and Twitter provide no follow links. Thus, it has no SEO value. Most of the better bookmarking sites are no follow as well.

Yes it has got some value, dont give importance to do follow or no dofollow every link has got some importance.Another thing by sharing your link in FB or twitter you can get real visitors those have interest in those topics.

How does a business owner track their results? Are there tools or software that can show true return on investment numbers to meashure their social media? Example: Google Analytics is one great tool to identify online traffic by impeding a code within your website or blog. What other tools are on the market?

I use Google Analytics as a baseline approach. It gives you a lot of information. The other one I like is Quantcast.com. It gives me all sorts of weird information, such as 9% of my visitors are African American. How they arrive at that number I have no idea.

A better answer to your question is here though:

The basic answer is to Optimize your existing analytics software using plugins or built in tools.

I’d like to know what sort of training and materials are required to become a search Engine Optimization/ Marketing consultant.

SEO Books will be outdated very quickly. Your best source is to first have an excellent understanding of web development, html, asp, design concepts and design standards.

You need to take online courses. These can be expensive from the top online schools but worth it in the end. You need to sign up fro the best feeds, ezines, forums that are online.

You need to be familiar with Google webmaster guidelines, ppc, link building, sem and social networking.

You have to know how to market yourself as a professional. You best bet is after training find a mentor who can guide you and teach you the ropes.

Learn how to search for what you are looking for as well. If you want to do SEO and SEM, then know how to find best information online. There are many and what I feel is best you may not based on your time, budgets and so on. So do some heavy research and reading as that will help you grow as well.

Is Yahoo! Search Marketing and the Search Engine one in the same things? And what is Sponsored Search?

Kaloni

SEO & SEM, yes it is the same thing… sponsored search is, like some ads, for example, if you do some search on search engine with some keyword, the first listed search is the sponsored search because the site owner pays to get listed on the first search.

I have research reports covering 4800 U.S. stocks each 13-pages long which are updated daily. This can be done because these are quantitative analysis reports, and it’s a template with only figures and certain keywords changing. This also means translation into other languages is easier. U.S. stock market is by far the biggest in the world and therefore Europeans, Chinese, Japanese, Latin Americans etc have interest in U.S. stocks. So I am looking to approach owners of stocksites or newspaper sites in other countries for the people in those countries who are interested in U.S. stocks, to sell or syndicated my reports. For example, Chinese language newspapers in Chinatowns in USA whose readers play the U.S. market. Thanks in advance for ny leads or info you can help with.

Hi All

I am researching seo prices – but dont want to approach any seo companies just yet…

Can anyone outline typical prices for an seo campaign…By this I mean the market average for "keyword analysis + setup" and the monthly retainer (I assume all seo companies will want a per month fee onwards to keep writing articles/blogs etc..)

I know it will vary, but I am talking about a medium sized business on a moderately competitive keyword…nothing silly like "car insurance" or "mortgage"….

Thanks
Rob

Tracy Falke, Head of Strategy at Powershift Media Group | Banta, interviews Katy Howell, Managing Director, immediate future (if.) at SES London 2011 on the subject of the convergence of social media, public relations, and search marketing. Katy provides her top tips in how search, PR (public relations) and social media should work together. Katy says it’s no longer a PR story, but a mashup between PR, search, and customer service. You must consider all three factors when presenting yourself as an organization. Katy says it’s about good storytelling in order to get people fired up and motivated to discuss your campaign. The problem, according to Katy, is that too many companies create silos and their departments aren’t effectively communicating with each other, like getting ecommerce and web analytics to talk with SEO, and your SEO to talk with your PR, and getting your PR to talk with your agencies. This level of collaboration is a requirement in order to get your social media marketing program in place. Katy says it requires an evangelist within a company to actively push for these types of collaborative arrangements. The impact of mobile won’t help but will only add to the noise.
