http://www.takeoverpageone.com Blogging can be a fantastic way to get more traffic charging full speed to your website.

The good news is that setting up a Blog for your website is surprisingly easy but there are a few caveats and things you need to change to ensure your blog is setup correctly to get maximum exposure in the search engines.

Before we start talking about what you should or shouldnt do with Blogs, lets take a step back and define what a Blog actually is.

A Blog can be thought of as a simple, public online diary where you can write entries (posts) into the diary.

Being public, the posts can be viewed by anyone who happens to surf by your site, and hopefully you have lots and lots of people reading every post you make, and contributing to your Blog in the form of adding comments, looking at relevant links you add to your blog, watching audio and video, and ingers crossed linking to your blog from their site, if they happen to have one.

As per Example of Google; To build a Link of Website as per SEO Frankly? what are the steps for that? Guide me..

Link baiting is, as previously mentioned, extremely effective for gaining links. Only problem is that it is a catch 22 situation. Nobody will link to your ocntent if they can’t find it in the first place.

I have found press releases to be extremely effective. Submit a press release for free to a website such as bignews.biz and include a link back to your site in the content. Press releases are distributed to countless other websites on the internet so you have the opportunity to turn your 1 link on a press release to thousands scattered all over the internet.

Forum’s are a very good way to gain links. Find an industry related forum and be sure to put a link to the blog in your signature. If you provide insightful, valuable information then people will start to respect you as an authority in the subject and therefore visit your signature link as well as giving you links back to your site.

Guest blogging is also massively effective. Firstly make sure you build up some high quality blog content on your own site for a few months and then contact owners of related blogs with a decent amount of traffic, and therefore respect in Googles eyes, offering to write a unique guest blog post for their blog in return for a link back to your site. Most webmasters will willingly accept if they see that your quality of writing is high because they are getting free content for their site.

Hope this helps!

I "Stumbled Upon" www.FtheBigThree.com which does a good job of showing the opportunities that could be available for marketers in the "Social Media" category. Not completely sold yet on it but kinda warming up to it. I guess I’ll have to start learning SMM to go along with my SEM and SEO. So, many abbreviations….so little time.

NO — they can work hand in hand, but social media marketing cannot replace search engine marketing

Search engine’s usage is far way more than social media use. Plus traffic from search engines are more sustainable and longer term, while social media traffic is more sporadic.

If you get a top placement for a keyword in Google, for example, you can expect that to continuously give you traffic until someone else topples you from the top spot — and that is not always easy to do unless you made a huge mistake or the search engines changed their algorithm.

You can get a huge burst of traffic from social media sites such as Digg — only if your link is in the homepage. Once your link is pushed to the archives, traffic dries up.

Social media sites depend on the FRESHNESS of the information, while search engine sites depend on the RELEVANCE of the site to the search query and that gives an edge to older pages

For a savvy marketer, he/she needs to utilize and maximize both venues to get the most traffic. The two should work hand in hand, and not one over the other.
