http://bit.ly/audience-development – We talked with Jim Louderback, CEO of Revision3 about how Revision3 goes about audience development strategies for its episodic web video series. As Jim correctly states, “”I fundamentally believe—and our viewers tell us this—is that it’s not like short form is here and long form is over here. People just want to watch what they want to watch wherever they are on the best screen available. So, if all they have is a cell phone and they want to watch Diggnation, they’re going to watch the show on their cell phone. But if they have a big screen TV, they’ll watch it on that.”

I just want to know what the difference is because I keep on getting job postings for those and I don’t think I understand well what it means.

I guess it is about freelancing work.

– backlinks: link in a specified website that point back to your website.
– blog comment posts: in SEO, blog comment posts consist to comment blogs that talk thing similar to your site and you include a link to your site in that comment. For example if your site is talking about cosmetic, you will comment blogs that talk about cosmetics and inside, you put a link pointing to your website.
– link building: it is the work that consist to build backlinks, blog comment, forum posting etc.

Hope that helps.

I know Facebook, MySpace and Twitter are great ways to help promote my company, but I don’t have the time to learn them. How much would a marketing firm charge me to run my social media?

You can find a firm to handle your social media for as little as $500 a month. However, what you might want to do is create an E-Marketing Plan. This would distill your company’s brand, set forth your objectives, and allow you to allocate resources in an organizeed and tactical way. . It would be also serve as an emergency manual when you have to make tough decisions at critical junctures. Much better than develop strategies ad hoc, as the need arises. Sure, you can jot your ideas down on a napkin over lunch and run with it, but these "let’s put on a show" ideas are seldom sustainable in the long run. It takes good tried-and-true business practices to succeed in business..
Also, there are a lot of good ideas out there: learn to cherry-pick and adapt to your own needs.
Typical of free idea sources is word-jobber.blogspot.com. While this site limits itself to direct marketing, it’s pretty shrewd. Best of all: there’s a new idea every Monday, just in time for a long week.
