I want to use this in a classroom training – showing this material to a small group of students. Can somebody recommend a good SEM training CD or online tutorial?
average Joe’s provides video tutorials about how to market online with or without a website. Shows you a lot of good things. I found it in this blog. I use the blogs suggestions, and I got average joe’s (its on the left) and I make a few hundred dollars a day.

I want to start a website that will be a tool (like facebook, wikipedia, etc) and my brother tells me that it will cost 10,000 a month to advertise, market, and search engine optimize a month. From everything I have read this seems way off base…can you provide some insight into this for me?
Thanks!
That is not true. You could spend that much, but it would not be needed. I will be glad to give you some details on what good SEO will cost you. Why don’t you send me an e-mail?

http://www.takeoverpageone.com Blogging can be a fantastic way to get more traffic charging full speed to your website.
The good news is that setting up a Blog for your website is surprisingly easy but there are a few caveats and things you need to change to ensure your blog is setup correctly to get maximum exposure in the search engines.
Before we start talking about what you should or shouldnt do with Blogs, lets take a step back and define what a Blog actually is.
A Blog can be thought of as a simple, public online diary where you can write entries (posts) into the diary.
Being public, the posts can be viewed by anyone who happens to surf by your site, and hopefully you have lots and lots of people reading every post you make, and contributing to your Blog in the form of adding comments, looking at relevant links you add to your blog, watching audio and video, and ingers crossed linking to your blog from their site, if they happen to have one.

I am an SEM professional and need to get some employees up to speed on SEM, but don’t have the time to conduct a training session. I’d like to give them something to read to learn the basics before we dive into strategy and tactics.
SearchEngineWatch is a search engine resource site that has been around since the industry became an industry. The link below goes to a list of diverse information, covering the essentials of search engine submission, tips on the biggest search sites, optimization techniques, etc. I used this site in 1997 to increase traffic for a Samsung site by 1000% in a month.
The advice is regularly updated as search engines change their algorithms so I’m sure it’s just as relevant today as it was back then.

Hello, I am looking for a directory of companies which practice search engine marketing arbitrage. Example: If I have a product to sell, I can pay them on a commission/CPA basis and they will pay the search engines on a PPC basis.
Thank you for your response in advance.
You should most deffinetly do an affiliate program.
Two of the best networks to work with are commissionjunction.com and kowabunga.com.
Before you do this though, be sure to have a good SEO campaign in place, make sure your site is usable and can sell your product, have multiple ways to capture non buying user information like a news letter signup or resource download.
Then you can do email marketing to them later.
let me knwo if you have further questions. adam@adammarc.com

Suppose a target market is the student loan industry, how do you develop greater exposure for your website for people who run searches on student loans?
Use the Google Keyword Tool https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Type in ‘student loans’, check the box ‘Use synonyms’ and click ‘Get More Keywords’.
Afterward you can select ‘The Site-Related Keywords’ tab and enter your main competitors website url to see what terms they are using.

Search Engine Optimization:
Is when the search engine looks through the websites that have more traffic related to the word/s that you entered. So selects first the ones that people go to the most… google works like that. for example if you search book in google the website on top would be facebook, because more people go to it when looking for a phrase with the word book.( this is totally free, websites don’t have to pay to be on top)
Pay per click:
is when a website pays a search engine for every click they get on their link, this way the search engine puts their website on top of the search list since it is more likely the person will click on it. Google also is an example of this, for example search "lawyer in miami" the first links will be lawyers who pay google for every click they get, so google puts them on top as they are more likely to get clicked there. ( but also google not only puts them there for their money but for the quality of their website too. that is what the rating is for)
hope this helps you.
