This video covers what I like to call the link building paradox – i.e. the fact that natural link building requires links to get more natural links.

I am very confused and also want to know which one is better?

Hi!

Link building is the actual process of building backlinks to your site, regardless of the types of backlinks.

You’ve got several choices when building links.

1. Look for websites in your industry, and contact them to do a link exchange. This means that they will put a link on your site, and in exchange, you’ll put their link on your site. It’s been said that google is giving less credit to link exchanges, and they give more value to one way links.(Links that only point to your site, without you having a link to their site.)

2. Article marketing. This is an EXCELLENT way to build ONE way links. These help much more when you are trying to increase the popularity and ranking of your website. What you do, is write articles in your industry, and submit them to free article directories. In the bottom of your article, or in the "resource box" you add a link to your site. This is excellent to build links to your site, but takes a lot of work and time. There are services that help you take one article that you write, and distribute it across hundreds of article directories automatically. This means that by writing only ONE article, you can get HUNDREDS of links… The one I currently use is http://www.bit.ly/SeoLinkV I’ve tried other ones, and I think this one is the best one out there….

3. Directory submissions. You can search google for "Your industry" + "Directory" This way you can find places which allow you to add your site link to their directory. This is great as well, but time consuming.

We are an SEO company, and one of the services we provide for all of our clients is link building. Usually a link costs around $5- $50.

We have a promotion right now that builds extremely effective backlinks to your site, with ‘anchor text’ or ‘related keywords’ We have a special 60% discount for all new customers. You can only get this discount if you are a NEW customer. We’ll be taking it offline soon, so check it out, it might be just what you need… http://www.proimsolution.com/backlinks-special-offer.html

Alrighty, I really hope I helped, good luck!

Anyone have any top tips for link building for websites? What is 3 way link building ? I have just started link building on my website. Must I put my links page access button on the main home page? Source http://www.onlinejobsforall.com

Sure, I can help,

My top tips for link building:

1. Do research on the links that you are sending out and receiving in. Find out information such as domain age, back links, page rank, traffic etc. Use the common source http://www.whois.sc for some info.

2. When building links always build towards relevant sites, this way your link will hold more weight as it will be relevant to the page its listed on.

3. When creating links don’t have the web address as the anchor text, create your relevant keywords for that link. For example, create a link with "Footaball Matches Live" rather than "http://www.myfootymatches.com" as the title.

4. Don’t always base your links on PR, relevance can hold just as much importance for the SERP’s.

5. Don’t allow porn sites to advertise on your website, it ruins the credibility of your site.

6. If you are going to have a links button from the main page make sure you call it something relevant to something you sell or do, for example "Football Links" or "Football Match Links" this will help.

7. Keep an eye on your links on your page, if they are broken, be sure to remove them soon or it will go against you. Also check to see if the sites you link exchange with keep your link on their sites, some people are untrustworthy.

Anyway, im sure ive ranted on long enough about links.

If you want to do link building as a job, try http://www.getafreelancer.com – its a simple signup, then you bid of projects, if your bid is selected you do the work while the money is held in escrow. It’s trustworthy and I have used it for around a year. You get all kinds of jobs, plenty of link building.

Generally Link building can be quite time consuming but the more you do, the faster it becomes.

Thanks

I got a link from website having page rank 5 but out of it page under which my website is located has no rank. Then which rank is considered valid by Google? Please somebody put light on this topic.

This is a massive topic but I will try and be as concise as possible.

First of all, you are referring to toolbar PageRank (the PageRank you see in your toolbar). This is only updated, typically, every 3-4 months, so it’s probably the case that the PageRank value for the site beneath you hasn’t updated yet. This said, Google’s own internal PageRank updates on a constant basis, so while it’s not reflected in the toolbar, it has still likely been assigned.

You should also remember that each page is assigned a certain amount of passable PageRank i.e. not all the PageRank value from a page will be passed on and what’s more, the value is typically divided between the majority of external links on a page.

Both of these links are likely to have been "considered valid" by Google. However, remember it’s not solely about PageRank, it’s also about trust, relevance and site-wide/domain authority.

Toolbar PageRank is a bit of a flawed concept for a lot of the reasons I have stated above. What’s more, Google’s own internal rank is decided to multiple decimal points.

So, for example, the PageRank in the toolbar for a page may be PR 5, however Google’s own internal PageRank may be something like 5.6735264738 — this means there can be the world of difference between two PR 5 pages.
