I just want to know what the difference is because I keep on getting job postings for those and I don’t think I understand well what it means.

I guess it is about freelancing work.

– backlinks: link in a specified website that point back to your website.
– blog comment posts: in SEO, blog comment posts consist to comment blogs that talk thing similar to your site and you include a link to your site in that comment. For example if your site is talking about cosmetic, you will comment blogs that talk about cosmetics and inside, you put a link pointing to your website.
– link building: it is the work that consist to build backlinks, blog comment, forum posting etc.

I need/want to learn PHP, and I’ve read in a few places that it’s best learnt whilst putting together a practical example. Quite recently I was tempted to buy one of those link directory scripts, but then thought that maybe I could kill 2 birds with one stone and learn PHP whilst building a link directory!

Would this be a good idea? I have a good grounding in HTML and CSS, and basic knowledge of Javascript.

Yeah I found that PHP was easier to grasp when you were being practical.

A link directory would be good however, its mainly going to be database queries and the odd submission. Try something like a Content Management System.

I have one that I use to learn new concepts on. There’s no limit to the sort of content you can use. This way you can learn user account management, sessions, file uploading and manipulation, directory/file manipulation, complex database queries, possibly templating, and you could even build the link directory in if you wanted to.

There is no difference between outsource link building and link building.

Hi,

Does anyone know of a good link building service that they have used in the past to gain better ranking on Google? Doing a search on Google seems to yield many companies but it is difficult to know if they are of any value. Thank you.

for a startup i would suggest you get your links onto directories… and although they are directories, any pr you get from directories linking to you is better than sites linking to you… this will increase traffic and your PR and your search engine ranking…
