require a lot of help from search engine traffic could suffer losses if a
search engine stops sending visitors to their site.  This being the case it is advised to keep
from dependence on search engine traffic.
Most search marketers will share that it is better to receive traffic
from links as they are stronger.

Can anybody tell me what does link building mean in SEO. I have a web site. What do I need to do to build quality links. What is the procedure? What actually we do when we want to build link? Everybody says quality link building is very important for web site. I don’t know what I have to do and how it works?

Link building is the process of acquiring new links to point to your domain or web pages.

Firstly you must know what is meant by "quality links":

-High Pr Links
-Links that are relevant to your website content
-Links from SEO-friendly sites
-Links that are not from bad neighborhood network like FFA sites, Link farms and others
-Preferably one-way link
-Links from a web page that do not consist of more than 50 other sites link

There are many methods that can be used to achieve quality links. I would personally recommend:
