What are some good strategies for link building for a local business site, that wants to rank high for local keyword searches?

Maybe, you should do some SEO stuff on the keywords of your content. Promote the keywords and exchange links with relevant websites.

Recently, i hired few big Link building companies.But i am not satisfied with their work. Companies seems to be big but the work is very poor. I think i should have to for small scale companies which can care more about our sites.. What do you say guys?
